Well, I didn’t get this posted yesterday, but it was begun. I was in transition. I started a colon cleanse or call it a fast, for seven days. I have not done this in probably in over forty years. The company that makes the program is over fifty years old and is still located in Kansas City, MO. It is still regarded as the BEST. The company is called, V.E. I said I was not going to try to sell anyone anything and I’m not. I started yesterday morning. Colon cleanse combo, supplements and a lot of water (about a gallon). No food, coffee, alcohol and I added no nicotine . Yes, trying to quit hopefully, for the very last time!

My daily schedule is as follows:

7:00 AM — cleansing combo
8:30 AM— supplements
10:00 AM — cleansing combo
11:30 AM— supplements
1:00 PM — cleansing combo
2:30 PM— supplements
4:00 PM — cleansing combo
5:30 PM— supplements
7:300 PM — cleansing combo
8:30 PM— supplements

I continue to take my BP (blood pressure medication), baby aspirin and generic Allegra as needed for allergies.

My wife went out-of-town for a few days and will be back either Monday (Memorial Day evening), or Tuesday. It is good as I wanted sure if I would be grouchy or have a headache from caffeine withdrawal. None of these things happened. I did sleep a lot yesterday, but I have more energy today.

This morning I did wake up at 5:00 AM with a slight headache. I drank a big glass of water and went back to sleep. When my alarm went off at 6:45 AM I was fine and no more headaches. Today of Day 2, I am not hungry, don’t miss coffee or alcohol. Occasionally I think about smoking, but it’s a choice. My brother said, “Just say No!” 🙂

All in all I feel pretty good today. I  have more energy and got some stuff done around our home. I feel calmer, as if my blood pressure is down. I have been sleeping better. So, this is about it for Days #1 & #2. Oh, one more thing—

Day 1. Friday May 25, 2018 Baseline weight:    193 lbs.

Day 2. Saturday May 26, 2018 as of 6:45 AM:  190.5 lbs. I’ve lost 2 & 1/2 lbs. I’ll take it!!! 🙂

Day 3. Sunday May 27, 2018 6:45 AM:              189.5. I’ve lost 3 1/12 lbs. I’ll take it!!!! 🙂

Day 4. Monday May 28, 2018 6:45 AM:            188.5. I’ve lost 4 1/12 lbs. I’ll take it!!!! 🙂

Day 5. Tuesday May 29, 2018 6:45 AM:            186. I’ve lost 7 lbs. I’ll take it!!!! 🙂

Day 6. Wednesday May 30, 2018 6:45 AM:            186. Maintained a loss of lost 7 lbs. I’ll take it!!!! 🙂

Day 7. Thursday May 31, 2018 6:45 AM:            185.5 I’ve lost 7.5 lbs. I’ll take it!!!! 🙂

Day 8 June 1, 2018 5:30 AM: 185 Total weight loss 8 lbs. Gladly accepted. 🙂
